A ceramic figurine inspired by the Disney Studios animated classic "Pinocchio" (1940). Featuring an amazingly detailed rendering of Geppetto, Pinocchio, and Figaro, the piece was produced by Brayton Laguna Pottery at the time of the film's release. The underside is stamped with “Geppetto Pottery from Walt Disney’s Pinocchio." Brayton Laguna was the first California Potter to have a license to produce Disney character ceramics in 1938. Measuring 6.25”x4.25” and 9” tall, the rare piece is in good condition with imperfections and crazing in the glaze, a small chip in Pinocchio’s feather, and a repaired break in Figaro’s tail (repair is not pictured).
